Here is the opening of the last exhibition of mine.

 

Situation is an exhibition depicting a person’s journey, emotions, feelings, through specific situations. It speaks of the artist’s own fate, but also of ours. It tells of good and bad times, of undying hope and the strength we draw from dreams and from other people.

Monika Fejes’ pictures –intensely colored, hypnotically simple, and sparing of means –show figures in various circumstances. They arouse positive emotions yet make us stand for a while in thoughtful observation.

Looking at them more closely, with the title of the exhibition in mind, we see amazing things, reach deep inside ourselves, and gain much greater insight into human nature.

Simply, the artist speaks of her own emotions, the emotions of a woman, of what is near to her. For that reason, the exhibition may meet with greater understanding from women since it often touches on essential issues specific to us. In some of her work, Monika draws inspiration from motherhood, its emotions, and duties, and sometimes simply plans, dreams, and past experiences.

Here is a very feminine, inspiring, and moving exhibition. Experiencing it in full, you understand that life really is a miracle that you have to seize with both hands and remain yourself.
